Braun/Billingsley for J-Up/JoshJohnson?

Everything else being equal who would you rather have in a 5x5 roto? This year only....

Ryan Braun and Chad Billingsley

or

Justin Upton and Josh Johnson

Braun. JJ and Billingsley are wild cards. I really like Upton but I think I would have to take Braun here.

I'd agree. I like J Upton, but Braun is a better contact hitter, meaning he's more likely to have consistently elite stats, whereas Upton will be more at the mercy of the BABIP fairy from month to month and even year to year. Still a very, very good player, but I'd rather have Braun.

I'd prefer JJ over Billingsley, but JJ can't be considered a top pitcher so I think it's worth losing him to get the elite player upgrade. Who knows what Bills will do from here on out, but at the very least he's a guy you can play matchups with and get good numbers out of or drop for a hot waiver pitcher if he struggles for too long.
