4/25 Cheering, Venting, and the Price is Right

David Price threw a gem yesterday, rewarding his owners with a CGSO. Yu Darvish also lasted 8.1 innings against the high powered Yankee offense, out-pitching countryman Hiroki Kuroda. CarGo finally showed up to the 2012 party, blasting not 1 but 2 homers, while both Corey Hart and Jose Altuve chipped in the always welcome HR/SB C-C-C-C-COMBO, nabbing one apiece each. Other excellent pitching performances were turned in by Tom Milone, Gio Gonzalez, and Johan Santana, who partied like it was 2006 and is still yet to receive a single run of support in the 2012 season... Ahh, the Mets...

There were 17 QS threw in the MLB yesterday, which seems like a high number to me despite me having never ever checked a single other day before in my life. I just feel like that's a lot.

Anyway... after failing to get a W from Minor last night, today I'll try my luck with Chris Sale against Oakland, who I'm sure will get a CGSO from Jarrod Parker against the White Sox, cause, well, that's just my luck.

Also, don't forget to bench Josh Willingham, who is gone on paternity leave for the next day or two.

I faced a guy with both Price and Gio last night (and Worley), so I've got some catching up to do.

NOTE: It's dark as hell here in Chicago and there's a 60% chance of rain all afternoon. As a Lance Lynn owner, I sure hope the game doesn't get rained out, or he'll get Milwaukee on Friday instead of the Cubs. Although I'd rather he do that than come out for 1 inning, have a 4 hour delay, and lose him for the rest of the week.

Running with Sale tonight, and with the hitting so far in the series, I'm thinking of 6 2/3, 10 K, 1 er, and ND.

I'll take that in a heartbeat. I'm throwing Sale/Lynn/Nicasio out there today. Fingers crossed that they can put up a combined ERA of under 2.00 today!

Hopefully the weather doesn't mess with too many games today.

4/25 Cheering, Venting, and the Price is Right

Postby lastingsgriller » Wed Apr 25, 2012 10:07 am

Cain and The Revolution got my team rolling last night with 2 QS, now looking for Marcum and CJ Wilson to follow suit.

Nice move by me yesterday: sees hunter pence has a hurt shoulder, so I benched him in favor of shin soo choo who, intern, left the game with an undisclosed injury.

Oh, and pence hit a bomb.

Pujols sucks.

Gotta love it.

Sale and Beachymania going. Is it wrong that I am actually considering sitting Marcum against Houston? Where did all of this offense come from?

As long as it keeps coming from Altuve, I ain't complaining!

Worst draft decision I made this year: Going with Brandon Belt over JD Martinez!

Is Pujols largest problem adjusting to the tougher American League? :-?

Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?
