David Price threw a gem yesterday, rewarding his owners with a CGSO. Yu Darvish also lasted 8.1 innings against the high powered Yankee offense, out-pitching countryman Hiroki Kuroda. CarGo finally showed up to the 2012 party, blasting not 1 but 2 homers, while both Corey Hart and Jose Altuve chipped in the always welcome HR/SB C-C-C-C-COMBO, nabbing one apiece each. Other excellent pitching performances were turned in by Tom Milone, Gio Gonzalez, and Johan Santana, who partied like it was 2006 and is still yet to receive a single run of support in the 2012 season... Ahh, the Mets...
CHW: Sale (2-1, 3.50 ERA) OAK: Parker (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
There were 17 QS threw in the MLB yesterday, which seems like a high number to me despite me having never ever checked a single other day before in my life. I just feel like that's a lot.
Anyway... after failing to get a W from Minor last night, today I'll try my luck with Chris Sale against Oakland, who I'm sure will get a CGSO from Jarrod Parker against the White Sox, cause, well, that's just my luck.
Also, don't forget to bench Josh Willingham, who is gone on paternity leave for the next day or two.
I faced a guy with both Price and Gio last night (and Worley), so I've got some catching up to do.
NOTE: It's dark as hell here in Chicago and there's a 60% chance of rain all afternoon. As a Lance Lynn owner, I sure hope the game doesn't get rained out, or he'll get Milwaukee on Friday instead of the Cubs. Although I'd rather he do that than come out for 1 inning, have a 4 hour delay, and lose him for the rest of the week.
Rolling with Jhoulys and Sale tonight...If Chacin doesn't go QS against the Pirates I'm going to be heated...started him opening day, he was awful..benched him last start he was good...starting him this start..you guys know how that goes
Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?
