How is this team? Slow start, FA, Trade Options ?

10 team, h2h, 5x5, non keeper league. I missed out on Jake Peavy today unfortunately, but other interesting guys on the wire include Chris Sale, Mike Aviles, De Aza, Schafer, Lynn, Colon, Minor, Niese, H-Rod. Thoughts? I'm 8-2 so far this week, but 12-18 coming in, in 8th out of 10 teams.

I might throw something like CarGo/Bumgarner for MCab/Garza his way. Looks like he could use some SP help. I love Sale and Minor but I don't see anyone for you to drop. Maybe JD Martinez since you really won't play him much with your OF depth.

Thx for the response. Just hypothetically, would u have dropped anyone for Peavy? I wanted him, but was trying to work a 2 for 1 trade rather than drop some one and he was picked up later. I do want to save a spot for Trevor Bauer though.

I think Santos is droppable, you have plenty of closers. I would pick up Peavy, Sale or Minor

I wouldn't drop Santos at this point. I don't play in 10-team leagues often, but I'd be surprised if a decent closer like you hope Santos will be once he's back isn't at least worth holding on to. I liked Aviles pre-season and he's been good. I also like Sale and Minor. I'd rather have any of those three right now than Neftali.

As far as the trade I might start with CGonzo, Prado, and Worley for MCab and Reynolds. If he goes for that you can pick up Minor or Sale (who are pretty close to Worley) off the FA pile. Reynolds is in a bad way now, but he's very streaky and can put up counting stats in a hurry. Wouldn't be that big of a loss for you to start Martinez/Morneau based on matchups instead of Prado for a while until CBY comes back and/or Reynolds gets it going.
