hey guys someone in my league (8 man h2h) just offered me this trade and i wanted some input He offered me Bautista and Carlos Gonzalez in exchange for Kinsler and Curtis Granderson. Kinsler and Granderson have been my main point contributors so far, but Bautista and GOnzalez have been slumping. SO is this a good trade in the long run? (side not= I really need a third baseman, he needs a second baseman and Bautista can play 3rd, but id rather have longoria)
I would take the deal. There was a reason that Bautista and Cargo went ahead of both Kinsler and Granderson in drafts and I don't think anything has changed. Though not sure why you think you need a 3B when you have Aramis on your bench. I doubt you could get a better deal that involved Longoria either.

Grandy went before both of them in a lot of leagues.
IMO Grandy is better then both and i no im going to get a lot of heat for this...HRs will be around the same but runs and rbis are going to grandy, he has more chances with runners in scoring position, he has better players to drive him in and he steals over 20SB a year and honestly cant even give the edge to jose in avg.
and how much better is cargo then kinsler? cargo never had a 30/30 season kinsler has 2, you would be giving up 10-20 rbis to cargo but will get that back in runs so there isnt much difference between the two.
but really you wont be disappointed with either way you go on this trade.

They were all three very close. Bautista was top 10 and for most probably top 5. The other three were generally 2nd round picks. I had Granderson in the late 2nd round because I am not quite a believer in him. I had Cargo has an early 2nd round because I think he could be even better this year and Kinsler as a mid 2nd round because of health concerns. Also probably depends on where you draft.
It is a pretty fair offer but one that I would probably take.

I'm with Joey here. Granderson was a top 3 producer last season, and has nothing this year to make me think he won't be in the top 10 again. Cargo is a 2nd half monster, but who wants to wait? Kinsler produces all season at the top of possibly the best lineup in baseball. Bautista is in a bit of a decline since his untouchable 2010, and I don't see him even repeating his numbers from last season. I don't like the deal, I would pass.
