Hi everyone,
I'm in an 8-team H2H non-keeper league. Pitching stats scored are W, SV, K, ERA. My relief pitching is in a pretty bad state (Betancourt, Motte, Joe Nathan) after Brian Wilson and Ryan Madson's injuries. Another team has offered me Josh Johnson and Jonathan Papelbon for Madison Bumgarner and Joe Nathan. Should I accept?
I have enough decent pitchers on my bench, so I do not think I should be so worried about Josh Johnson getting injured. What is more concerning is his very slow start when compared to Bumgarner's very good start to the season. Is Papelbon so much of an upgrade for Joe Nathan to warrant trading away Bumgarner? Do you think Josh Johnson can bounce back? Thanks for your help everyone!

Your releif pitching doesn't seem that bad. Jonathan Papelbon over Nathan is definitely an upgrade, but its not worth trading Bumgarner for JJ in my opinion. JJ isn't getting many Ks, is giving up a ton of hits and runs, AND is injury prone. Stick with Bumgarner.

I think you're fine without having to do the deal. In an 8-team league, surely you'd be able to scour the wire for some saves.

Definitely keep Bumgarner.. who is on the WW for closers?

Thank you very much for your feedback! However, Johnson is dominating so I'm still considering the trade... available closers on the waiver are Frank Francisco, Chris Perez, Grant Balfour, Casilla, Romo, etc. Any other opinions?

With that many closers on the waiver wire, there is no way I would give up Bumgarner for a closer. I think you should stand pat and maybe pick up Francisco or Perez.
