Trade Help Please! Peavy for Crawford?

Postby Hopscotch Assasin » Tue Apr 24, 2012 2:56 pm

I give Peavy up and get Crawford back. My pitching is awesome right now and idk if Peavy can keep his play up. So selling high sounds good.

Should i pull the trigger? Team is in signature

I think there's still a chance Peavy is healthy all year (and puts up a year-end 3.3 type ERA) and I think Crawford still has a lot of risk attached to him. However, I think the odds are good that you're selling high on Peavy and buying low on Crawford with this trade. I'd definitely do it. Probably even if my pitching wasn't going well in most HTH leagues, since I think the potential for Crawford to have much, much more late-season value is there.

Carl Crawford is still experiencing left elbow soreness and will visit Dr. James Andrews.
Uh-oh. Crawford began playing in extended spring training games last week after straining his elbow earlier this month, but he has apparently suffered some sort of setback. Just because he's visiting Dr. Andrews doesn't mean he will ultimately require surgery, but it doesn't sound like he'll be able to make it back in early May as previously estimated. Stay tuned.

Wow. Ok with that news I might want to tell the Crawford owner that you'd want to wait until his visit with Dr Doom before trading any significant player for him. I'm also feeling much better now that I didn't go "one more" on Crawford in an auction draft. That was one of my two regrets in that draft.

any thoughts on mine? http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=445147
