I have an inspector going to the property Friday and hope to sign a contract over the weekend. Thanks!!
Yes.... 1. ALL wall configurations are temporary 2. Make sure you have a solid and complete plan before starting renovations 3. Don't talk to your neighbours. You don't get asked for favours or engaged in b.s conversations. It's awesome. 4.

5. Be aggressive in paying off your mortgage. If you have a redraw function like we have, you can (eventually) treat yourself to a serious holiday (or treat) if you have been disciplined enough.

So why'd they trot Darvish for the 9th? Didn't they just pay $Obscene for this guy?
CGSO. You'll see teams try to get their starter a CGSO every once in awhile. it's a bummer that I benched him but this is very encouraging. This is actually why I don't try to get cute with sitting/starting and use the start em if you got em approach.
That's understandable. I also agree with the "start 'em if you got 'em" approach.

Ah yes, a new homeowner. Congratulations. My wife became first-time homeowners in Dec. 2010. Closing will make your head spin. I signed more papers than i ever have before, but do your best to pay attention, and don't be afraid to ask questions when you don't understand. There's a lot to digest.
After you move in, the work begins! You'll find that you're going to need nearly everything, so plan on a few trips to the local Home Depot or Lowe's. I felt sheepish at the amount of times i had to call my parents and ask what to do with certain odds-and-ends around the house, but the way i figured it was, i won't know unless I ask. Just keep at it and don't let it overwhelm you, owning a house, while a lot of work, is also a lot of fun.
