Use #4 Waiver on Haren? WHIR

Postby Dave8603 » Mon Apr 23, 2012 5:29 pm

Yahoo! standard mixed 10-team H2H league. Currently in 7th place.

Hitting Cats: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, OPS
Pitching Cats: W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

I've made a bunch of trade proposals but they just get rejected and then the owner proposes some ridiculous counter-offer. Someone just dropped Dan Haren and I have the #4 waiver spot so I'm considering putting in the request. I feel like he hasn't been bad lately, just unlucky, and he'll get it together. I feel like I really need pitching help. Would love some opinions. Leave your link below, WHIR.

C - Brian McCann
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Brandon Phillips
3B - Ryan Zimmerman
SS - Jose Reyes
OF - JD Martinez
OF - Nelson Cruz
OF - Jayson Werth
UTIL - Alex Gordon

BN - Elvis Andrus
DL - Jacoby Ellsbury

SP - Yu Darvish
SP - Daniel Hudson
RP - Frank Francisco
RP - Carlos Marmol
P - Fernando Rodney
P - Chris Sale
P - Hector Santiago
P - Brandon Beachy
BN - Chad Billingsley
BN - Cory Luebke

This is a no-brainer. That owner had no business dropping Haren in a 10 team league. Pick him up if you can. As someone in a 10 team league Haren is vastly superior to anyone on my WW.

Dan Haren would be the best pitcher on your team. This is a no-brainer IMHO. Not to mention Hudson being shut down for a couple weeks.

I don't think a #4 waiver is high enough to get him. If the owners with 1-3 aren't jumping all over him they are just plain dumb

It would be a travesty if you dont throw your #4 in to get Haren. He would be your best pitcher as someone mentioned. Its a longshot you getting him but dude try now!!! lol

Haha, thanks for all of the replies. I figured everyone would say that but I was worried I missed something. I didn't want to pick him up only to find out why that dude dropped him.
