Should I grab Chase Headley? [Always WHIR]

Yahoo 12 team h2h with R, RBI, TB, OBP and netSB as the offensive scoring categories.

I am first in my league with a 26-3-1 record and a 7.5 game lead...but it is early and I am being carried offensively for the most part by Napoli, Jeter and Cabrerra...which I know is unsustainable in the long term.

I am not ready to bail on Hughes yet...and if I did...I would need to replace him with another SP (or streaming SP).

Headley is ranking as the #9 overall player in my league, and while I don't expect him to end the year as a top 10 player...I certainly think he looks to be on clearly better than some of my OF's right now.

Would you pick up Headley and if so who would you drop? Roster in sig....

I'd pick him up and drop Reimold. Reimold is only valuable when he's hot as he's been fairly unproven & in/out of the lineup. Right now, he's been out of the lineup and Headly provides you with a much more consistent bat...and he plays at a shallow position.

I would drop Gamel. I don't think Reimold keeps it up either but he has been hot when he plays. Gamel isn't anything special so i wouldn't worry about dropping him.

Add me to the Drop Gamel camp. Reimold intrigues me to see if he can turn into a solid player. Always had the skills. That said, I'd dump either for Headley I think.

add headley...drop gamel. reimold (unlike gamel) has looked pretty good this year.

Surprised no one suggests Bourjols...he is my worst offensive player by far....in fact the only people ranked worse in this years offensive production are Weeks and Crawford(and he does not count on the DL).

Is there a reason everyone values him more than Gamel or Reimold?

Not really. I could see dropping him as well. For me it was between Gamel or Bourjos but figured Bourjos will likely get you some SB where Gamel doesn't do anything great.

Believe it or not...Gamel has 3 netSB...Bourjols 0 netSB...and I just think Gamel has shown the ability to be consistent and has the peripherals and history to say that he could still improve on his #s

Headley - 14R, 13RBI, 35TB, .432OBP, 2netSB (for point of reference)
Reimold - 9R, 10RBI, 36TB, .383 OBP, 1netSB
Gamel - 9R, 5RBI, 22TB, .339OBP, 3netSB
Bourjols - 4R, 7RBI, 12TB, .238OBP, 0netSB

Based on this alone I think it becomes an easy decision....

Guess I'm the only one who would just leave him. Think he's playing way over his head, and I wouldn't drop anybody for him.
