I have two open roster spots due to Santos going on the DL and a recent trade. I want to grab a pitcher and a hitter. Which of the guys available do I add? Hitting wise I am hurting in both power and speed due to the DL status of Ellsbury and Crawford. But winning overall.

For the Pitchers I would likely go Cordero if you want to replace the saves of Santos.

As for hitters, I like Altuve. He hits for a good average and should start stealing more bases soon.

I'm on board with Altuve.

I think he will be okay.

If you don't trust him, my second option would likely be Bedard. And he will likely help you beyond what you need him for (barring health)

Bedard won't put up many W's, but he is posting nice numbers otherwise. Good ERA, decent WHIP, and a nice K-rate. I think, judging by a thread you posted after this one, that you ended up going Altuve/Parker.

I like the Altuve pick up...not sure I like the Parker pickup.

Yeah, I went Altuve/Parker. But the Parker is honestly just a shot to see if I get a diamon in the rough.

It looks like you could've used the saves. I would've gone with Casilla or Cordero over Parker. Altuve is a good addition if you need SB/AVG. Presley is someone to keep an eye on too as he'll produce across the board.
