McCutcheon Deal WHIR

Postby dominicfaiola » Sun Apr 22, 2012 1:43 pm

14 team H2H Cats. 3 keepers per team

Just recieved an offer consisting of:

I get: McCutch

I give: C Young & Lincy

My Team:
C Soto
1b Tex*
2b Roberts
SS Scutaro
3b Lawrie
OF Stanton*
OF Cespedes
OF Cruz
UT Ortiz
Bench Lind
DL Utley, C. Young

*Keepers

Pitching:
Hamels
Strasburg
Scherzer
Sale
Betancourt
Santiago
Lincecum
Lilly

The offer intrigued me so I thought I'd get your opinions. I love Cutch and would almost def make him a keeper for next year but I also like C Young but that injured shoulder scares me. What'd you all think?

I like McCutch, but I think you may be selling low on Lincecum. I think he is in for a step down this year, but his ERA will not be over 9!!

Wait a start, and see what you can get.

It is really close. I like McCutchen more than Linc but I think I would try and get another player in the deal to offset Young.

I don't think I would do it. Your OF is solid, and I'm not sure you can afford the loss of pitching, Tim will bounce back.

I'd pass on that one. McCutcheon for Lincecum straight up sounds about right but Young has some value.

Honestly, I love it. But the only issue is that I never EVER try and sell low: you won't get good value. You gotta try and ride Lincy for a little bit before you make any rash decisions with him.

That said, and I might be in the minority, but I think I'd take that deal. I think McCutchen takes the next big step this year.
