Trade Kipnis for Mauer?

I've been offered Mauer for my Kipnis in my 15 team roto 5x5 keeper league. Neither player is going to be kept, so this deal should be evaluated on what they can do for me this year only. I have a hole at C and Atulve is on my bench to replace Kipnis.

I am last place in average and am generally struggling in the offensive cats (my pitching is sick).

Thoughts? Should I pull the trigger?

I say yes you do it. Mauer has been getting the DH role over Morneau on days his knees need a rest, so he you arent gonna miss too many games with him. And seeing you have Altuve as your backup you should be just fine. I like Kipnis and am actually a Kipnis owner, but I think you have to pull the trigger on this deal. Too good to pass up.

I would probably do the deal. I don't love it but it seems pretty good value for a guy like Mauer.

I still haven't convinced myself to pull the trigger. Worried about selling low on Kipnis, now that he's showing signs of life. The thing that makes me want to do it is the help I'd get in AVG - Mauer is a huge upgrade over Iannetta, and replacing Kipnis with Altuve will also have a positive impact on AVG. But I'm not sure if I can fully trust Mauer now.

Any final thoughts?
