He's batting under .100! It's only a matter of time before he's benched. I don't think they will call up Brett Jackson this early in the season, plus Jackson isn't really tearing the cover off the ball lately. So what's the alternative? Any suggestions? Who can play CF for the Cubs? Is moving DeJesus to CF, shifting LaHair to OF, and calling up Rizzo to play 1B an option? Any thoughts?

If the players name isn't Castro or Garza and they are on the Cubs you are probably better off not owning them, maybe add Dempster to that I guess. That team is probably worse than the Astros and to be honest I won't be surprised if they lose 100.

Rotoworld is reporting that Byrd may be headed to the Red Sox.
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/3403/marlon-byrdThey have also called up Tony Campana, and if you are desperate for speed, he's worth a look.

I would imagine it would be Campana for now. Jackson will be coming soon.

Just keep checking the lineup to see if LaHair is playing OF now.

They're not going to do anything. They need Byrd to play so that they can build up his trade value. He's a good defender and can hit for a decent average. You have to imagine that they're going to attempt to move him this summer. It's rather hard to do that if he's a 4th OF'er on the Cubs. I'm sure that one of the alignments you mentioned are probably a good bet at some point this year. In a perfect world I bet Hoyer/Theo would prefer to move Byrd & DeJesus (or LaHair) this summer to make room for Jackson and Rizzo.

Funny I was going to post a question about Byrds move to Boston. My feeling is he will flurish there. He's a .275 or so hitter with decent power. I think he'll end up liking the Monster and will put a couple of dents in it. Plus he plays a nice outfield. Definately not a guy anybody in 10-12 team league should have drafted but could be a very solid DL replacement . I'm liking him.
