Ubaldo for Latos?

Latos is off to a horrible start in Cincy. In my league his owner is seriously concerned. I have Ubaldo Jimenez and I'm seriously concerned about him. Talking about a trade of these two pitchers with a lesser player from each side being thrown in. I'd pitch in Delmon Young and he pitches in Addison Reed. Obviously I'm taking the loss on the extra player, though Holds are a pitching category so Reed will help some (and possibly could get Saves at some point this year).

Make the move of Ubaldo/Young for Latos/Reed? Or are you worried about Latos not turning it around and continuing to struggle in Cincy?

I'd keep Ubaldo. I just dont think Latos will turn it around.

This is a gut call for you. I'd personally rather have Ubaldo right now than Latos, but I don't think there's a "right" or "wrong" answer.

I have Latos projected higher preseason than Ubaldo, but not really that much higher. Ubaldo's not been as good as you'd want but he really hasn't been terrible. In fact a lot of the bad vibe from him is bad PR from the Tulo thing. Latos has been really bad.

I like Ubaldo in this situation. Latos isn't in such a friendly park anymore and that scres me about him. Jimenez went through a tough time last year and was battling injuries but he has put up some good season long numbers in the past and I think he can get back to that form again. His velocity is already better.

Latos .... all day. Ubaldo is straight do-do-butter. Not a fan at all. Latos will turn things around.
