Chris Perez for Neftali Feliz - best I'll get?

Postby lane_anasazi2 » Thu Apr 19, 2012 5:53 pm

Large dynasty league, H2H with 6x6 scoring OPS and Holds. We have 3 RP slots and 3 P spots. I really like having 3 closers and 3 setup men, giving myself a chance to compete in both Saves and Holds every week. My closers are not the best but I have three of them which is a leg up in a 20 team league - Chris Perez, Joe Nathan, Carlos Marmol.

I got offered Neftali Feliz straight up for Perez. Haven't been shopping him or anything, offer just showed up out of the blue. What say you? I don't really have anyone to cut so I'd be down to 2 closers and 3 setup men.

I'd probably sit tight with the closer unless you get blown away. If something happens where you're desperate for SP I could see moving one of your guys.

What about capitalizing on Perez while he still has a job? He's racked up a few saves but it hasn't been pretty. Don't most people think he'll be out of the job in a few months? I'd hate to sit on him and then have to drop him when he turns into a middling MR.

If anything, counter offer for his next best SP. almost always an out of the blue offer is a lowball so see if you can get more value. Im guessing he has one of the MANY closers that got hurt? Squeeze him. ;-D

help me?

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

Good idea. He's got Luebke, Peavy, Jurrjens, Sabathia, Shields, and McCarthy. I'd say Peavy and Jurrjens < Feliz, so maybe Luebke?
