not good enough. I think you will need to give him GIO or Zimmerman.

If he does that would be awesome for you, McCarthy is horrible. But like bod said maybe for Gio he would do it which would still be a great deal for you IMO. Is this a keeper league? if so Castro has enormous value, would not be surprised at all if he is a top 20 pick next year......

I think I'd do it as is and see what the guy says. If you want to try to tweek the deal, then maybe you could throw in Walden for a slightly lesser closer. It's not too far off that you'd run him away.
I think Castro's been overrated this year, but I also think Teixiera is being overrated based on what he did in 2009 and earlier. People still think of him as an elite hitter and IMO he isn't. That name value might trump the Castro hype and get him to move. Even though Mark's had bad luck the last 2+ years and his batting average shouldn't have been in the .250 range, I think it's more reasonable to expect a .270-.275 hitter (not a .300 hitter until he shows he can beat the shift) with 30HR power (not 40HR power). That's still a good player, but the upgrade in batting average to Castro is enough to allow you to use Hardy as a SS/Util depending on matchups and not hurt your power too bad. The upgrade to Weaver (who I think is underrated as a SP) is huge.
