In a 5x5 10 team roto keeper league (5 keepers). Currently in first place and won last year. Was offered
Verlander and Kershaw for
Kemp and Wainwright?

Only way I'd consider dealing Kemp in a 5-keeper league is if Verlander and Kershaw can be kept in a later round (or for less $) than Kemp. If it's just your top 5 players get kept then you're trading future years of Kemp + Price or CSantana for Verlander+Kershaw. Your pitching staff looks deep enough that you don't have to take away from your offensive advantage to help pitching.

Thanks for the advice. Yes it is 5 keepers from my lineup, so with the trade it would be:
Votto
Kinsler
Miggy
Kershaw
Verlander
I would lose one of Sandoval, Santana, or Price.
But I'm also concerned with this year. If trading Kemp could improve my chances of winning, I'd do it.

I still don't think I'd do that deal in a yearly league with your lineup, but it's close. The keeper part puts it over to top for me. Unless you substantially help this year's chance of winning I don't give up an elite hitter in that type of keeper league. I don't know that this trade really helps your chance of winning. I think you can get closer to those pitching stats by the kind of pitching depth you have and playing matchups than I think you could replicate the massive stats Kemp should give you from 1 OF spot. Personal preference, really. But it also hurts you in the future.

If I had Kemp, I would ignore any trade that involved him unless it's something ridiculously in your favour.
