Trade for Nelson Cruz - Am I giving up too much?

12 team 5x5 Roto, I need HRs and have SVs and SBs to spare. I like Cruz (and in fact talked this guy down from Holliday as I didn't want to give up Sabathia, Matt Moore or Darvish), but not sure if I'm overpaying.

I need a roster spot to pick up a catcher (AJ Pierzynski is the top free agent) as I dropped mine to pick up Casilla over the weekend, and other than that, top FAs are Mat Gamel and Jake Peavy.

Yeah I bet he would LOL.

But I would do the trade with Maybin involved. Javvy could implode at any moment and you have plenty of Closer Depth especially if you are keeping an eye on the closer scene which it appears you are. I wouldn't be dissapointed at all about losing McCarthy he has had mediocre performances thus far against weak opponents and I think. You have to understand that I come from the mind set that Guys like McCarthy shouldn't even be rostered being that any given day that they pitch somebody off the FA will probably do much better. But i Like Peavy More than him anyways..........

Well, he was willing to give up Teix/Ortiz + OF, but the players going his way would be too rich

Yes, do it. You'd be giving up quantity but not quality. Cruz is very good when healthy.
