Trade with New Owner

I just got a new owner. The new owner was asking my friend about a couple of closers he had. The deal expanded to include Ryan Howard and Ian Kennedy.

is that "cheating"- trading with the new guy when he immediately joins the league?

one of my leagues has a semi weird set up where SPs are very heavy favored....so when we get a new owner we always tell him to wait a couple weeks and watch how the points work out before trading. thats what i suggest...telling him he should wait a couple weeks to get his feet wet before trading

but really you cant stop him. if he doesnt like teh way the team looks now, its his right to change it

The new owner should be responsible enough to make trades for his own team. I would hope the other guys in the league aren't just trying to take advantage of a player, but are trying to make solid trades.

Sorry, what's he supposed to do, sit on his hands? As long as he's not making obviously foolish mistake trades, why on earth would you stop him? I would never say to someone, "The rules say X, but you shouldn't do X".
