C. Gonzalez for Verlander?? WHIR

I'm in 3rd, he's in 1st.
He offered me Carloz Gonzalez for Verlander straight up.

I'm pretty stacked at SP and am seriously hurting in the OF (Ellsbury/Morse on DL)...

My OF:
Soriano, Bonifacio, Pence, J. Francoeur, Morse (DL), Ellsbury (DL)

My SP: Verlander, C. Lee, J. Santana, J. Cueto, CJ Wilson, Samardzija, H. Kuroda, E. Volquez, Burnett (DL)

His OF: Kemp, Cuddyer, Bourn, Des. Jennings, C. Gonzalez (Day to Day)
His SP: F. Hernandez, Strasburg, Beachy, Wandy

Being relatively new to the Fantasy Baseball game (much more into FFB) I'm thinking I can accept the trade since I'm so deep in SP and need the help in OF...or counter and try to get Kemp somehow.

I would hate to get rid of Verlander, but you are right, you need OF and your SP is stacked. Do it.

its difficult to give up Verlander, but for an 8 team league your OF is bad (thanks to injuries). I would take the deal knowing you can probably move one of the other OF midseason for SP if you need it once guys get healthy again.

This deal is tough. While I like Cargo more than Verlander, this is really going to hurt your SP. If you do the deal, you are going to start streaming pitchers or something to stay in the running because his OF will still be good and his SP will be really good.

Thanks for the help, gents. I pulled the trigger on this. Nice having Verlander but with the week-long waiver claims and having literally no bench to turn to, I need a player like Gonzo if offered.

I also see the strong possibility of Verlander being left in one inning too long at some point and being put on the shelf for a while.

That hurts parting with Verlander but it makes sense in building a balanced team.
