Trade involving Stanton and CarGo WHIR

Postby wannasoda321 » Tue Apr 17, 2012 11:57 am

So I am in a 12 person, points, H2H, was the 4th pick.

Roster Positions C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, 1 UTIL, 2 Bench, 8 SPs, 2 RPs

Scoring (didn’t feel like typing it out): http://i.imgur.com/AWk7K.png
My lineup: http://i.imgur.com/yjmX0.png
My staff: http://i.imgur.com/GUSQv.png

I would get: Carlos González
He would get: Giancarlo Stanton + Ervin Santana

I would probably pick up someone like Jake Westbrook or Randy Wolf after the trade.

What do you guys think? I absolutely loved Stanton before the beginning of the year, but now I am pretty scared about his lingering knee injury. Also he just hasn’t looked too good. Ervin Santana also has looked pretty bad. I'm hoping to buy low on CarGo because I think he will pick up and be amazing just like he always is. But it’s a toughie, it would be trading his 2nd round pick (#15) for my 2nd round pick (#21) and my 12th round pick (#141). Let me

You should pull the trigger. Santana is replacable, and CarGo is an absolute stud. Stanton can be great but yes, you're right about his knee.

I like CarGo, mostly based on the park they are in. Most friendly park vs least friendly park. Plus Stanton is forced to play through knee issues which could get worse.

Go CarGO!

Not so sure about this one. If we want to talk injuries here lets talk about Cargo. He is one the biggest pussies in MLB. Right now he is dealing with the deep throat issue and besides his dl stint last year he had many games where he sat for this, that, or the other. Granted he does play in an awesome park and I too love him when hes healthy but not so sure if he can play over 130 games this year.

Although Stantons knee problem is very disturbing, young guys are generally able to heal much quicker and theres a possibility he can steal this trade.

The trade is safer for you. For him its much more high risk, huge reward.

Oh man... you are definitely worrying me. Do you actually think CarGo is an injury risk right now? If so, I'd probably like to stay away

Do the deal. Stanton is going to be taking more days off this year with his knee issue and I dont think Santana is anything special

CarGo was a boderline 1st round guy coming into the year. It would be a good buy low on him. Make the deal.

Help please

In a keeper I would typically say no, but in your league I would let it fly. Santana is replaceable and I love CarGo, do it and don't look back.
