Ellsbury/Markakis for Hanson/Maybin/Utley

Postby Micaelis » Mon Apr 16, 2012 10:05 pm

I'm in 20 team dynasty league, allowed to holdover 18 players indefinitely. League is 6x6 H2H, with OPS and holds. Which side do you like better in this trade?

Side A Gives:
- Jacoby Ellsbury
- Nick Markakis

Side B Gives:
- Tommy Hanson
- Cameron Maybin
- Chase Utley

I think getting anything for Chase Utley at this point is a win.

As long as Side B has the starting pitching to give up Hansen, Side B wins simply for getting Ellsbury (the best player in the deal by far). Losing Maybin doesn't hurt because you replace with much better, and Utley is a much better baseball player (when healthy) than fantasy at this point...its all about being able recoup Hansen's stats (which is probably difficult to do via free agents in a 20 team dynasty, because I'm assuming guys like Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole are taken already)

Some injured goods! But A wins I think.

EDIT: I mean, I'd want Ellsbury/Markakis.

I'd be the side getting Ellsbury. My other starting pitching right now is Felix Hernandez, Jordan Zimmerman, and Edwin Jackson. I also have Brett Anderson on DL and Shelby Miller, Gerrit Cole, and Jameson Taillon taking up bench spots.
