Is this crossing the line?

Postby CyboNinja » Mon Apr 16, 2012 8:04 pm

The league commish for one of my leagues recently completed this trade.

He gave Matt Capps and got Shin-Soo. 5x5 roto. I'm not the only owner in this league who has spoken up about this being a grossly unfair trade. He (commish) keeps trying to justify it by claiming Choo is a "bench player" and the other owner needs saves.

So what is an owner to do?

Nothing wrong with the trade at all. Leave it alone

Choo coming off a really bad year and saves can be inflated. Im sure many would rather have Choo in a vacuum but wouldnt blink at this.

Thanks for the input. I guess I over-reacted. It just seemed like a very fishy trade.

If there is something fishy then you have the right to be concerned. But purely based on the trade there is nothing wrong with it.

Yeah I think most people here would love the Choo side since they see a history of success and a hot August last year, but until he proves himself in a lot of leagues he IS a bench player. And most people here (I agree) think Capps is destined for a blowup and job loss. He could pull a Valverde, though. Stranger things have happened. If there are other circumstances that lead you to question the trade, do so, but just by the players it's not worth comment.

I dont think it is a problem at all. Im not a big Veto trade guy unless it is an obvious issue and the players are intentionally manipulating the system then I think you have to step in.
