Trading Lawrie (or too soon)

In my H2H points dynasty league I just got asked about trading Lawrie twice today. I didn't necessarily have plans to trade him but I also could afford to trade him. Right now he is just my backup 3b behind Sandoval. Next year my league is implementing a CI spot in which I would have Sandoval at 3B and HanRam at CI if I chose to trade Lawrie. My original answer was that I wanted to hang on to him till the end of the year or next season when I can really get true value back in return. It sounds as if I could actually trade him right now for a Lincicum, Weaver, kershaw type pitcher. I would only trade him for a stud SP anyway as they are awfully important in this league plus the rest of my lineup is stacked. Can I get any feedback as to what to do?

Way too soon to trade Lawrie... especially if its not a re-draft league. If you can get Kershaw out of it though then absolutely pull the trigger.

I agree to early to pull the trigger......

BUT if Kershaw is on the table, PULL THE TRIGGER NOW!!! since you already have depth @ 3B with Panda and H-Ram

It is never really too soon to trade a player if you are getting full value for the guy. So if you can get Kershaw or a top 25 player for him, then do it. He might end up with slightly more value than that but he might not. I would have a problem if you were going to deal him for a guy like Gio or Beachy or something like that. But Kershaw is about right in value and should be as valuable to your team as Lawrie would have been.
