Ellsbury leaves with shoulder injury

Sliding in to 2nd, 2b fell on right shoulder.

Looked like it could go either way, but Ellsbury's reaction to it looked like he was concerned it could be serious. It was to his right shoulder and he's obviously a lefty, but if something is torn, I don't know what difference that would make. I could see how he could have escaped serious injury, but the worst case scenario for him isn't going to be good for his fantasy owners, myself included.

He certainly seemed to be in a great deal of pain. Could go either way.

ESPN is reporting that an OF down in AAA was a late scratch from the lineup, suggesting that Ellsbury will hit the 15 day DL. They also indicated that a leak reported a dislocated shoulder. No word on the severity of damage.

Yeah it's dislocated at least partially...serious heavy hitter Boston journalists are already confirming at least 6 weeks

Did I miss it, or is Ellsbury in the running for the Madden 2012 cover?

I had Ellsbury in 2010, skipped him in 2011 and drafted him 10th overall this year. I'm starting to hate him as a fantasy player.
