I've been wondering about Beachy. I don't think he will remain this good, but I was expecting mid/low 3 ERA with a good WHIP this season. but I'm wondering where are the K's?! last year he had 10.74 K/9. this year he has 7.33 K/9. he's had a good K rate coming up through the minors.
what about Brandon Belt? he's been great now the last few games while getting regular playing time. is he now expected to continue to get regular playing time and put up some good numbers?
Sold high on Parker, Quentin and ARod getting 2 (maybe 3) top 25 prospects. I hate not going for it but I'm headed to a 1-3 week and I'll likely be be 5-6 gms back and will need to pass 3-4 teams just to get the last playoff spot.
What I got: Sano, Skaggs and Erlin. I now have about 15 top 100 (or close) prospects while being competitive. 24 tm league.
ARod hurts the most this season since I only have chipper. Parker is looking Drabekish where the stats don't match the stuff. he has a nice ERA now but that's not going to continue with those K and BB rates. Quentin is a nice bat when healthy but that is rare and I have a lot of OF'ers.
I just traded Kenley Jansen/Tommy Hanson/Carlos Lee for Michael Bourn/Sean Marshall. I probably gave more than he's worth, but Hanson and Lee were spare parts and I'm already way ahead in saves with 3 closers other than Jansen. I needed the runs and steals as I'm way ahead of everybody in HR and RBI. He hasn't been stealing much but they come in bunches and he's a good bet to be healthy and productive in the long-run, which is not something you can say about most base stealers.

Michael Bourn is, at worst, a top-15 outfielder. You didn't give up more than he is worth.
Sell high at your own peril. He may not get much better than where he is now, but I don't expect him to regress much, either.

The window to buy low is closing fast...
I was just thinking that - as an Upton owner the time to pry him from my hands was weeks ago. If you're in a league with inattentive managers, make your move now.
Yo, help a brother out! I'm having trouble thinking of buy low pitchers right now. Pettitte went down today and while I technically have the pitchers to replace him, I'd like a longterm replacement. thoughts?
