Good buy low, though I was skeptical about his .300 AVG last year, I'm sure the homers will come.

So what would you say is a realistic rest-or-season line for him? If he finds his power stroke, and I have to think he will, he's just been too good for the past 2+ seasons not to, perhaps something like:

.270 AVG, 35 HR's, 85 RBI, 85 Runs, .950 OPS?

If he reverts fully to his old self, those numbers might actually be a tad conservative, but whether or not he can return to his old self is the million dollar question...

His K vs Walden tonight shows how lost he is at the plate right now. He struck out on a 50 ft pitch.
He struggled in 2nd half of last year too...he got his extension and got off HGH or something :)

I'm a Jays fan and they need him bad, but I think he's a .250 hitter with 30 hr from here on out

In my money league my offer of Beltran for Pujols was accepted! Holy crap. 14 team league needs three votes to veto :-o What would you guys vote if the 1st place team (I'm 0.5 out of 1st and way ahead of third) traded Beltran for Pujols? I just had Sandoval go down and I'd have to pick up a FA to play 1B if this gets vetoed.

unless there is collusion involved, you have to let such trades go through. both managers made the decision in trying to better their teams. you can't veto a trade just because you think it's a bad trade.

orly?

JK, I feel the same way. If somebody is trying to hose somebody else with a quick trade offer for a guy freshly injured, yes you veto it, but if it's much later in the year and a team clearly out of it giving studs to the first place team, then forget it. In this case, I would rather have Poolols, but one can easily make a case for Beltran being nearly his equal...since he's produced about 100x as much so far and he's a legitimate player.

This is the kind of trade I'm trying to make in my league. I am a few categories out in front, and I'm trying to pick up some DL players like Ellsbury to stash to have when I need them, during the playoffs. If this trade were to happen a couple months from now and Poolols still has well below his career average production, then you veto the trade. But a 40 home run season is still a possibility, given his similarly slow starts.

I don't think this is a vetoable trade but I do disagree with this statement some. If the trade is so bad it undermines the integrity of the league I do think you can veto it. If he was trading Kemp for LaHair I would veto it every time. Speaking of which if I owned LaHair I would be doing everything in my power to sell high on him at this point. There is no way he will keep up the .543 BABIP or .433 ISO and when those two numbers come crashing down the rest of what he has done is pretty darn meager. You got your value from him now get out while the getting is good.

of course, if it's absurdly bad like lahair for any elite player, it ought to be vetoed. in the case of beltran for pujols though, i don't think it's so absurd that it undermines the integrity of the league. of course, in money leagues though, those absurdly bad trades don't really get accepted so it's not really an issue.

I would LOVE to sell Adam Lind low right now to anyone who will take him. Yikes he is terrible.

Freese is a good sell high, I think he will end up with good numbers but he does seem to get injured a decent amount and a lot of top 3B's just went down so those teams would likely overpay for him.

Speaking of selling high on Beltran for first rounders, Beltran for Braun was just accepted in my league
