I think Cozart is just a low.. but not a buy low. Id like him off the WW or FA list. But I dont think I would deal anything legit for him. He is just so young and does have a ton of potential but hasnt proven anything at the major leauge level.

I'm not a Cozart fan and saw him as a bottom tier SS that might be double digit steals. I also saw a pretty mediocre hitter that hit for avg once in his MiLB career. Last year.

I might have to start shopping Sale soon. He's gaining some steam.

I moved:

Lance Lynn
Chris Sale
Cliff Pennington

for:

Josh Johnson
Joe Saunders
Asdrubal Cabrera

I hated giving up Sale, and I wasn't buying on Saunders (he was just part of the deal I was offered), but I really liked that I was able to move Sale and Lynn, both of which may not be pitching by the end of the year due to moving back to the pen (Lynn) or having an innings cap (Sale).

Your going to be kicking yourself when Johnson does his annual DL trip.

I've got quite a lot of pitching depth, especially for a 20 team league.

from my end I'm in a 16 team league with Alex Gonzalez as my starting SS. I've been looking for runs and having Cozart bat leadoff in front of Stubbs/Votto/Phillips/Bruce should be pretty good for him getting runs. I didn't propose anything but wondered if I could swap Gonzalez for Cozart.
coming into the season I was thinking Cozart could be 15/15 with 80+ R out of the leadoff spot. I wasn't expecting a good AVG, more like .265 maybe .270. but if he gets moved out of the leadoff spot and down to say 7/8 then I don't think he's any better than Gonzalez.

At that point doesn't it become Asdrubal for Sale? Not a bad deal imo.

Good buy low, though I was skeptical about his .300 AVG last year, I'm sure the homers will come.

What do you guys think of Wieters as a buy high? He finally seems to be living up to the hype that surrounded him when he was called up a few years ago. Catchers seem to take a bit longer to adjust to the bigs in general. He's absolutely raking right now, and could finlly be that rare catcher that can singlhandedly carry your team on any given week. Is it worth it to give up more than perceived market value to acquire him before this still smallish sample size trend becomes the norm?

So what would you say is a realistic rest-or-season line for him? If he finds his power stroke, and I have to think he will, he's just been too good for the past 2+ seasons not to, perhaps something like:

.270 AVG, 35 HR's, 85 RBI, 85 Runs, .950 OPS?

If he reverts fully to his old self, those numbers might actually be a tad conservative, but whether or not he can return to his old self is the million dollar question...
