I'm not happy (as usual) with several of my picks, but I need to know if you see the same weaknesses I do. Please take a second to give me a little constructive criticism. Here's this year's edition of my 5th to 9th place team:

OF: S. Green
Util: R. Klesko (J. Reyes at times if healthy until eligible at 2B)
Bench: J. Reyes

Bench: P. Konerko

SP: T. Hudson
SP: J. Santana
RP: T. Hoffman
RP: A. Benitez
P: B. Koch

Work on upgrading your pitching staff. Billy Koch should not be in the P position ahead of Padilla.

I'm not too crazy about your SP's....
You have 2 studs but the rest really don't do much for me.
Your closers kinda bother me too as the only guy here that pitched last year with "some" success was Benitez. Hoffman really needs to show he can do it again, as for Koch, Guillen is not sure yet whether he'll start Koch or Marte or both...
Your lineup is pretty solid

koch and starting pitching

Postby coolarmadillo » Thu Apr 01, 2004 9:51 pm

wow...that's really good to know that my starters might not be that good. i was actually pretty pleased because i've never had even one stud. i thought padilla and perez particularly made pretty good numbers 3 and 4, but i'll definitely see if i can upgrade. also, koch isn't really starting over padilla. our league has daily transactions, so i can rotate padilla (or any starters) in on the days of their starts. as a general rule, i play all or most of my relievers every day unless more than two starters are going on the same day. in that case, koch would definitely be the first to sit. thanks a lot for the feedback and feel free to offer more.

apart from the pitching i think u need to take a look a C. if i were you id definitely consider trading either Konerko or Klesko for a catcher (some one like Lecroy would be nice) and then dropping Martinez for some pitching or whatever.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
