10-team league, 12 categories (6 hitting, 6 pitching). Record is out of 12 points in every match, winning 8 categories nets you an 8-4 record.
For pitching, categories are: W, SV, QS, ERA, WHIP, K's
My pitching SP - Lincecum, Shields, Beckett, C.Lewis, Marcum, Worley RP - League, Thornton, Santiago, Clippard
Obviously I'm lacking in relievers...I started with Bard but dropped him to get Aceves who was atrocious. I just picked up Santiago so I'm not sure if I should drop Thornton. I'm really not to keen on the value of relievers as this is my first year in fantasy baseball. Is Clippard expendable as well?
Also Brad Lidge is a FA right now, should I consider him? Jansen is as well?

Thanks
Looks like Santiago is going to be the closer in CWS for a while. He and Leauge are the guys full time closer spot locked up. Having 2 closers isnt bad, I dont think you should overpay (via trade) for another. Thornton is not bad, he wont get you saves, but is a solid RP and might get traded by mid year. I think you should sit tight. You have 2 closers, 2 set up guys in Thornton and Clippard.
Keep Clippard. He might not get you saves but he will help lower your ERA and WHIP while giving you some good K numbers. I would drop Thornton for Lidge because you don't know how the Nationals situation will play out.

Okay thanks for the opinions guys, I just thought it was weird that Clippard was rated so low in the draft. I just figure that he might not pitch as often as other relievers.

I am confused though, it might just be me not understanding what you're saying but it sounds like their is uncertainty in Washington, so is that statement supposed to be a positive uncertainty as in Lidge will become the closer? Because almost always uncertainty is not good, haha.
stay put! clippard is prolly the best non closing RP for fantasy. i would keep thronton, its like handcuffing the CWS bullpen. santiago is a rookie so you may get shaky soon.

I am saying we don't know what Lidge's role will be. Storen is out and we don't for how long but it doesn't look good for him right now. Anytime you have to go see Dr. Andrews, something isn't right. It doesn't mean TJ surgery but it does mean that you aren't close to getting back on the field. So Lidge has a chance to step in and be the closer until he returns. It is between Lidge and Rodriguez and Lidge has closing experience if that matters.

So far lidge has looked good in the two times he has pitched. Henry Rodriguez Looked good in his first outing but lost the game in the ninth for them the last time. right now lidge is playing better but Henry Rodriguez does has a lot of potential.

I think I'd keep Clippard over Lidge. Lidge's saves might look better short term, but Clippard will help you more over the season. If anything I'd drop Thornton for Lidge and just keep an eye on the Chi-town situation.
