scherzer worth #1 waiver spot? WHIR

Postby Zhangman1 » Wed Apr 11, 2012 9:36 am

16 team h2h. Max Scherzer just got dropped, is he worth using the #1 waiver pick to grab? Playing in a yahoo league where most prospects r already in the system.

My pitchers:
Kershaw
Wandy
Romero
Cueto
Bard
Fister-DL
Pineda-DL

Well, if it's a 16-team league, yes. More than likely pickings are slim, so it's definitely worth a shot to see how Mad Max bounces back.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

In a 16 team league, yes, I'd do it. The probable only other time you will use that WP is late in the year when a player not yet on Yahoo is brought up to the bigs and becomes available to pickup.
