I'm pretty pessimistic about Beckett's potential this year, but for whatever reason I'm hesitant to give him away for Beachy (and I guess Utley too, not sure why he threw him in the trade). What are everyone's thoughts?

I dont quite like Beachy. I think he is overrated personally. Utley is hurt and has little to no value. Sooooo no. I also think Beckett will bounce back after that terrible performance.
I don't think you are getting quite enough. I would want something more useful than a hurt Utley. I think Beckett has more value than Beachy, though I do like Beachy. I just think Beachy still has something to prove this year and worry that his K's won't be as high as they were last year.

I'm not quite as down on Beckett as you are. And like the others said Utley is useless. Even if he does come back who knows how long it will take for him to get going again, and as we all know that PHI lineup is horrible. Maybe if he throws in someone else you could think about doing it. I wouldnt take Beckett for Beachy straight up.
