Pick up Lidge? WHIR

League info - 12 team daily non-keeper H2H 5x5 (HR,R,RBI,SB<AVG)(W,K,SV,ERA,WHIP) 40 move limit

With Storen going to see Dr. Death and at the least looks to be out for awhile, is Brad Lidge worth a roster spot on my team. H-Rod is currently owned. If it's worth the pickup, who should I drop? Thanks and as always leave a link!

No... I dont see a point to it, unless lidge is named closer...then do it and drop a bench batter. But id stay put

For some people I think he is worth adding but you have 4 closers already so need to add a 5th one.

Seeing as how they are using a committee in washington at the moment, I'm surprised the owner of Rodriguez hasn't signed Lidge. Would be frustrating to have Rodriguez taking up a starting spot and seeing Lidge come in for the save opportunity.

I don't see anyone on your roster that is worth an obvious drop to acquire Lidge in the hope that he can get you saves as a part time closer. Plus you already have 4 closers, which should be enough.

If you really want him, I would package two of your players and make a 2 for 1 trade with another team, to improve a position where you are weak, and then use the open roster spot to pick up Lidge. To take it a step further I would then package Lidge and either Broxton or Aceves and try and get a single, better closer in return. Someone might want quantity over quality at the RP position in your league, especially if they only have 2 closers.
