Offer Bruce for Haren straight up? WHIR

Postby jruffus1 » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:19 am

I am in a 12-team H2H Keeper league (Keep 4 for draft picks) and a manager has put Haren on the trading block. I have been actively seeking another stud pitcher for the past few weeks.

Should I offer Bruce for Haren straight up? The fact that we only keep 4 and must give up draft picks makes it less likely that I would keep Bruce for next season anyway. Also, I think that my lineup can take the hit, advice?

My Roster:

C - M Montero
1st - Goldscmidt
2nd - Kinsler
3rd - Lawrie
SS - Castro
OF - Kemp
OF - Ethier
OF - Bruce
Util - Ortiz

Bench: Morales, D Young
SPs:

Lester
Wainwright
Hanson
Kuroda
Masterson
Bard

RPs:

Bell
Capps
Broxton
Aceves

Holland
Perkins

I think Bruce has more value than Haren but you are correct that your lineup can take the hit by losing Bruce and getting Haren would solidify your staff. I would do it and see what the other owner says.

please help and read my last post in my thread. Thanks.

I think I would do it. Haren will help your staff and you have guys who can fill in for Bruce. Maybe figure out a 2-2 deal but either way I still like it.
