Zimmerman/Jurrjens for Sabathia/Edwin Jackson

Postby Drysdale » Mon Apr 09, 2012 8:24 pm

Hi guys. I've been lurking for a while but am a complete newb to fantasy sports so I haven't posted anything. Unfortunately my first post has to be a trade question. !+)

I'm in a H2H league with a guy who keeps trying to get Sabathia from me. We've been at it for a while and I think we're close.

He'd give up R. Zimmerman/Jurrjens for Sabathia/Edwin Jackson... I'm not sure I can afford to give up Sabathia, and I'm getting the feeling Jurrjens might be heading for the DL...

My Roster:
Napoli
Kinsler
Youkilis
Tulo
Beltran
Duda
McCutchen
I. Suzuki
Markakis
Lee
Espinosa
Loney
N. Walker

Sabathia
Garza
Rivera
Batencourt
Hellickson
Jackson
Kenley Jensen

Why would Jurrjens be heading to the dl? There is nothing that indicates an injury as of now.
As for the trade...... it's terrible for you, don't do it.

I'd almost rather have Youk than Zimm but I dont like either of them. Zimm not worth giving up CC.

I like CC as a top 5 pitcher this year. I would prob. also rather have jackson than jurrjens.

On top of it all you don't have much depth at sp. You can't afford to trade CC.

^Thanks for the help!
There've been some rumblings that Jurrjens isn't 100% healthy, and that he's losing his velocity...

Could be an anomaly and will correct itself, but this early in the season, I could see them resting him a while to get 100%.
It's really just a feeling.

Hah! Neither do hanging fastballs. :-D

The guy countered with just Sabathia for Zimmerman/Jurrjens... I still don't think I can give up Sabathia though...

Yeah, JarrJarr is borderline ownable, same with Jackson. So its basically Zimm for Sabathia. Clearly the Sabathia side wins.

Thanks guys, I'm definitely on the keep Sabathia side of this. Glad I wasn't over-valuing Sabathia.

But just out of curiosity, what would you guys ask for from his team if he keeps after me for Sabathia?
