Should I drop Kelly Johnson?? WHIR 100%

I need more offense/depth, and I feel like I can trust Kipnis at 2B. So should I drop Kelly Johnson for any of those OF options:

I traded away three picks last year to help solidify my team and I ended up winning the championship. So I have a lot of prospects on my team, and I am a little thin in the OF.

I'd drop him. Since you're looking for depth I'd go with an upside play. JD Martinez is the guy I'd take a shot on. Rios is an interesting choice as well, but I'd probably only watch list him at this point.

Johnson is going to score an awful lot of Runs batting ahead of Bautista all year. I'd be more looking to trade Kipnis to fill the void you feel you have at OF.

I should have put this in the OP. But Kipnis has good keeper value in our league. I was able to get him in the 20th round this year, and will be able to keep him in the 18th round next year.

I was also thinking about offering these two trades to someone who needs a 2B.

Trade B:
My Kelly Johnson and Chris Perez for Nick Markakis

I think you have solid team. I would not drop Johnson for an OF yet. You will always have that option. Johnson could be valueable if someone has an injury at 2B. He could score a bunch of runs and could still hit 20hr. trading Kipnis is an interesting option as well. You will get more depth once Harper gets called up. Hopefully before June.

I like both of those trades for you. I'm getting a good vibe about Markakis now that he is completely healthy. As for the FA list, I really like J.D. Martinez for an upside pick. He'll be in the 3-hole most of the year, and has shown an ability to hit at all levels.

I would do trade B (Kelly Johnson and Chris Perez for Nick Markakis) definitely. If you want to go waivers I would go Joyce, Martinez, Murphy in that order. But I would do waivers only if you can't get a trade done. Thanks for your help with mine.

I have been a markakis fan for quite a while I would lean that way as well.
