Lance Lynn gem on the wire?

He has a mid 90s fastball, good cutter, and a solid change up along with a good excellent k/9 ratio. Is his stuff legit? Those who have watched him, could he be a gem on the wire that could be a top 30 pitcher?

Probably not top 30, but decent filler and I pitched him today H2H. Keep in mind they have Shelby Miller major league ready, so when CC comes back, Lynn will have had to give them a reason to keep him in the rotation. I like a pitcher in that situation especially if he realizes his opportunity which I think Lynn does. I'd (did) pick him up if you have room.

Sure looked good today. I wouldn't go so far as to call him a gem on the wire, but he should be getting more attention than he currently is in most leagues. Could end up being a real nice WW or FA pickup.

I'm liking Lynn a lot. Strong K numbers, a winning team and an SP role for weeks to come. Dave Duncan is on a leave of absence but hopefully his magic rubs on on the new pitching coach Lilliquist.

Like Lynn a lot better than Samardjiza.

Lynn really only has 2 useful pitches (FB, CB), and a limited repertoire usually doesn't bode well for starting pitchers. His K rate and control haven't been anything to write home about from 2009-2011 in the minors.

If he has another strong start he's a big sell high candidate for me. I think he's destined to return to the pen later this season.

Cliffs: unestablished starting pitchers are usually good for 7 innings, 1 ER against the Crew. I've noticed this trend at least three seasons ago, and two managers later, doesn't look like anything has changed. Not sure if my club is familiar with the concept of scouting report, or tapes.

I wish I had picked him up when I had the chance in other leagues, but got him in one. Looking solid.

Picked him up for some spot starts in my H2H league. Gonna ride him until he cools off.
