I think you stand pat and lock up KC closer. I am a broxton fan and I think he might keep the job longer than people think.

To some of the respondees - just to be clear:

I currently own Santiago and Holland, while the other guy owns Broxton and Thornton. So I can not stick with Broxton. The question is offering to trade Santiago for Broxton!!

No, keep Santiago. Not only do I not trust Broxton, but I think Santiago's better.

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

I would go with the Broxton side of the trade.

This is a tough one.. If you trade you're basically guaranteed to have the KC closer.. while he's assured of having the CWS closer. But if you keep what you've got.. you could end up with both KC and CWS closers or neither. Very tricky.

I like a sure thing.. and Broxton has looked pretty solid (so far). High velocity and good command. Might be he keep this position for a while.

I say do the deal.. but you could argue for either way.

Thoughts on mine? topic.php?t=443825

I'd stay put as well.

Could Broxton keep the closers role? sure, but to be honest, I have more faith in both Santiago & Holland myself.

thanks for the help with mine

I think Santiago stands to hold the job better than Thornton stands to reclaim it. I think Broxton will be solid but there's a decent chance Holland gets some saves. All told I don't love the deal.

bump. I trust Santiago more but I'd rather have one closer (in two parts) than 1 lead and 1 secondary (in 2 parts).
