In a 12-team H2H keeper league, how would you rate this trade?

Ortiz
Kuroda
Aceves

for

Matt Moore

Feedback appreciated. Will return the favor immediately!

Agreed. In a keeper, I'll take Moore. In a single season league, it depends on the categories and depth of the league. Who would the team giving up Moore be replacing in their lineup.

To keep in mind, there is no such thing as a 3-for-1 trade. It is a 3-for-1 (plus 2) trade, as the team must replace the extra spots the gave away, and the other team must cut players.

Aceves is going to be the closer for at least 60 Days. What other closers do you have?

What do you lose if you keep Matt Moore? Is it a draft pick or salary cap?

He is good, but is he that much better than Kuroda that you'd give up 10-12 saves? In most leagues those 10-12 saves would be worth 2 or 3 roto points.

Plus Ortiz was an 80/30/90/.300 guy last year. That's pretty damn good production

I wouldn't sacrifice 2012 less than a week in, to have a pitching prospect for 2013.

Well, here is my current roster:

C - M Montero
1st - Goldschmidt
2nd - Kinsler
3rd - Lawrie
SS - Castro
OF - Kemp
OF - Bruce
OF - Ethier
Util - Ortiz

Bench: Morales. D Young

SPs:

Lester
Wainwright
Hanson
Kuroda
Masterson
Bard

RPs:

Bell
Capps
Broxton
Aceves

Holland
Perkins

I feel like I could just play either Delmon Young or Kendrys Morales everyday and be just as productive. Also I have 4 closers as of now, so its not like losing one would be horrible.

I would do the deal. Aceves hasn't looked good and closers can be found during the seasons so you shouldn't worry too much about them unless they are in the elite class and those are very few. I mean look at what has happened so far: 2 closers out of the season, 3 starting the season on the DL, a lot of blown saves so far and Santiago took the closer job that most thought was going to Thornton. Kuroda is unlikely to repeat what he did last year in the NL. Playing in the AL East at Yankee stadium is going to be hard on him.

I think this is an easy one, get Moore while you still can get him this cheap.
