No other offers out there? I might make the deal but I don't love it. I think eventually Trumbo gets most of the DH spots so the power will likely be there but he isn't a sure thing but really neither is Guerra.

I offered Guerra for Cespedes, got rejected but he countered with my Hellickson for Cespedes. How does that sound? I love Cespedes but still unsure because Hellickson should be great this year. I also offered Guerra for Markakis no word back yet.

Depends on what your SP looks like. I like Hellickson but I don't expect him to be anything more than a #4 on a fantasy team so if Cespedes will help then do it. Be aware that he has will have a lot of strikeouts which will hurt his batting average so the only thing you are really getting here is power.

My staff is Halladay, Hernandez, Marcum, Lewis, Cueto, Fister and Hellickson. My OF is Crisp, Bourn, Kubel and Lee. 5x5 cats. So would you do it? Thanks very much for the input!
I would hold pat on both deals. Cespedes makes more sense to me, but I am worried about a few things:
(1) Will he adjust once pitchers get a book on him? (2) That ballpark will depress anyone's power (yes, he can hit it out of any park, but he will have some that are warning track power) (3) When all his support gets traded, what will happen to his numbers.
I would not trade anything valuable for Trumbo (he has pop, but his average will come down as he does not walk). To the suggestion that he will get DH At Bats, not unless Morales learns to play 3b (or they move Pujols to 3b, which might actually be their best move).
They seem to be willing to put up with Trumbo's awful defense for his potential.
I don't quite see why people want to make trades before most teams have even started their second series of the season. There is no way you can be that worried/disappointed/excited about any player after three games.
I do both trades. Hellickson will not have the year he had last year. Some of his end of yr was not all that impressive. Cespedes will cool off of course and yes SP's will figure out a weakness, but he is a high upside talent that has speed as well. Guarra is the closer for now, but will eventually give that up to Jensen and I think LAA will find the at bats for Trumbo and he will have 3B qual in the near future.
