Thoughts on Chisenhall?

Have the chance to pick him up in my 20 team dynasty league. What are your thoughts on him?

20 homer power with a decent avg? or worse? better?

Not a fan. I expect him to be a average regular - think Danny Valencia.

I would disagree with Redhopeful. I don't see any reason why Chisenhall can't hit 15-20ish hr's with a solid average. The scouts agree that the talent and ability to hit is there. Now it comes down to Cleveland letting him stay in the lineup everyday (probably around May-ish) to let him make adjustments. He is still young (doesn't turn 24 until October) and very few young hitters hit from day one. I think in a league that deep (I also play in two 20 team leagues) he is a smart grab if he is out there on your waiver wire and could pay dividends for you this summer and down the road.

I think sometimes people who do not play in deep leagues like yours do not always understand how shallow the free agent pool is and how hard it is to find potential impact talent. I add Chisenhall and see what happens.

He is definitely worth holding onto in a 20-team dynasty. I do not expect him to be a star, though.

Even in a deep league Chisenhall is the type that you are looking to upgrade from or keep as bench depth. .270's avg with 15-20 HR's and 1 SB is just holding down the fort until a better option comes along. But he should be rostered in a 20+ team dynasty.
