Morrow looked OK, but command was bad. He's still throwing too many pitches and won't be able to go deep in games. That said, he only gave up one hit, and it was after Arencibia threw the ball away on what should have been the third out of the inning.
Lawrie is looking Jeter-esque with his opposite field hitting. Anything on the outside corner is shot into right field tout de suite. Noticed this last year too. Still don't think he'll live up to the hype this season since the bar was set so high, but he's still a great hitter.
Greinke cruised through 7 innings of 3 hit ball in 91 pitches and is pinch hit for in the bottom of the 7th. I was hoping for the CGSO. Now I just hope K-Rod and Axford or whomever can preserve his W.

Velocity was down and his slider wasn't effective at all. Threw some good pitches when he needed to, though, which is unusual for him.

He's got a great 2-strike approach, too.

Agreed. ::finger's crossed::
This, and Kuroda failing miserably in the AL East, and Hughes being terrible, and everything else that will put the Rays in position to win the division.

I like the way you think, and surely hope you are right.
