I'm not just surprised that he's in the lineup, but mostly as a DH. They could have had him at 2B and had Elliot Johnson on the bench. Essentially they're playing Elliot Johnson instead of newly signed Luke Scott who owns a career .787 OPS against lefties (and specifically .762 against Sabathia). Keppinger also said he's never batted cleanup in his entire career, even prior to MLB. He's actually the starting MI on my AL only team so this is welcome news, just a bit odd and surprising.
There we go. First PA of 2012, and Dunn walks. Wonder what the Vegas Odds would have been on that. 2011 Dunn would have struck out on those breaking pitches out of the zone. Looked focused and much more relaxed.

He had plenty of walks last year. It was getting Hits where he had difficulty He's still gonna BB and K plenty. But when he's not doing that he needs to get a few hits.
Kenley Jansen's fastball was down a little last night (92-95). Note that this was also the case last season and it led to a slow start before he began posting video game numbers.
Why did I start Danks against Texas in several leagues -- I'll tell you why, because of this weird H2H week. Feels like I've gotta start every pitcher.
