this is a private elite league with all experienced owners. not only are all closers owned, all next in line relievers are owned. some next to next in line relievers are owned as well. so the waiver wire for relievers who could get saves is very thin.

I could use Butler at 1B with someone else at IN.
I have tried and tried multiple offers with this owner. he prefers established players and has little to no interest in the likes of Presley/Brantley.
I have also tried to trade starting pitching, but those who do have relievers available do not want starting pitching.

he has Frank Francisco and Jim Johnson, blah. I don't think they keep their jobs.
he also has JJ Putz.
should I do this, or counter and ask for Putz?

I think that's not enough return on Konerko-Jones. The guy might like established players, but you could remind him that he also needs to pay a reasonable price, especially when the closer he's moving has less than a full year on the job.

I'd keep Konreko and Adam Jones for sure. I think both players will have very good seasons.
