In a shallow league it's typically better to hold onto the top stud. That said your OF is weak for a 10 teamer so the deal makes some sense. Personally I'd advertize Votto's availability and shoot for a stronger OF in return.

You got to account for age. He's only 25.
Those are good numbers for a 24 year old.

I think I would take the deal, but I would counter once... play up the first round value.... the new big contract.... see if you can upgrade one other position even mildly. If he doesnt budge, then come back to his deal, but since he offered it to you, I imagine there is a little wiggle room. Good luck.
