Also, what is the longest opening day game ever?
I guess 11 for 65 is something to be happy about.
I might have survived Volquez but the box score tells me that Kershaw was pulled after 3 innings. What's up?
ESPN Game Notes: "DODGERS PITCHER CLAYTON KERSHAW LEFT THE GAME AFTER THE THIRD INNING DUE TO A STOMACH ILLNESS."
Cool. Did he puke on the mound?
She said always remember never to trust me She said that the first night that she met me She said "there's gonna be a time when I'm gonna have to go with whoever's gonna get me the highest."
Nope, no puking by Kershaw. They knew he was sick beforehand and asked him to not start, he refused. He was also pulled because with 2 outs in the top of the 4th the dodgers had the bases load and they PH for him. I can't move with the flu, much less pitch. Good news is that he is also scheduled for the Dodgers home opener Tuesday.
Also, awesome HR for Kemp in one of the toughest long ball parks.
Cueto looked really good today, he has the dreaded pitching to contact kiss of death though so I don't know how much value he has if the Ks are going to stay low.
