Dotel or Benitez?

Shop Dotel because he has a lot of love out there and you should get plenty of interest. Way more than I would give a guy with such a high career % of blown saves.

Looking at blown save stats for setup men is very misleading. If Dotel enters a 2-1 game in the 8th, he's technically coming in to a save situation. If he gives up a 2-run homer and loses the lead, he's charged with a blown save, regardless of the fact that the team had no intention to keep him in for the 9th. Setup men may finish the year with 4-5 blown saves without ever being asked to close.

That said, Dotel struggled in his last go-round as a closer, and I would not take him over a proven stud like Benitez.

True if Dotel had never been used as a closer before but he has. Wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise.

First, I'd recommend keeping all three.

If you are set on shopping one around, then wait until after the season has started. Both Dotel and Benitez are very good closers, IMO. Let them both rack up some saves and put up nice stats. Then, about a month into the season, find someone who is panicking over not having any saves and make your trade.
