Looks like you're choosing to incur a lot of these expenses instead of choosing cheaper, alternative solutions. Which is all well and good, but really if that's the case, you really need to not be complaining.
Ok, so a family of four can haul in a cooler, sit in the centerfield upper deck by the scoreboard, and not buy anything for $150. Sounds like a lot of fun and a great value. I would rather not go and watch it at home.
I usually take my family of 6 to a Royals game 2-3 times a year and I don't think it costs more than $150 or so with 75% of that being tickets and parking. I wouldn't even consider doing it unless it was some sort of promotional night (Buck Nights are usually the best for the $1 dogs and sodas). When it is just my wife and I or just the guys I spend just about the same total amount but the ticket and beer costs are a much higher proportion of the bill.

I am not trying to rip on MLB, but I have loved the game since I was a kid, and have watched as it has gotten out of control. Players are making $25M per year and a beer cost you $7 or more at the stadium. You may be able to go to a game at a semi-reasonable price in KC or Milwaukee, but try telling that to a kid in the Bronx. But hey, most people must be fine with that since attendance is up, baseball seems very popular, and it is a free country - if people are willing to pay it, then you should be able to charge it. It just seems like families and those who do not have much are paying the price. And now we are starting the season in Japan. Anyway, I am glad baseball in America is back. Play ball and good luck to all!
