I would discourage this in most cases but looking at your team this could probably help you quite a bit.Since you have beltre i wouldn't be too upset about losing Longoria. I think he is technically getting the better deal just to look at it subjectively as these guys for this guy but it WILL help your team that definitely could use an ace like Kershaw. can you post up his team so I can see if you might want to counter for one of his pitchers?

I would Counter for Kershaw and Gio for your guys and if he doesn't go for that just try to trade straight up. Just basically show him yuo know that he is getting the better end as it now stands.

I would do the trade. You have beltre and get to pick up one if not the best pitcher in baseball.

Yeah I was looking at your team last night. I think this is by far the better trade than you proposed before. Kershaw is money, and you are solid at the 3B spot. You mayy be able to get someone better than Bucholz, if you just throw in a filler player to even the trade out. See if you can do a little better than Bucholz, I would also like to see his team. If you can't I would say still go for it. Your stacked at 3B!

I just countered for the straight up trade. I definitely feel like I may be giving up more, but I have haunted by the fact that I need a proven ace. Who knows what Johnson is going to look like after TJ. Darvish is risky and Cain just got paid.

We'll see. I picked up Bucholz from the FA pool since our league is so deep, so it wouldn't be that bad of a loss for me.

don't do this trade!!!!! kershaw is probably a cy young winner, but a player like longoria is worth so much more as hes getting you stats day in day out. you could do much better, counter with a 2 for 2, and remember that the 3b spot is not a deep spot, so you hold the edge over anyone you trade with. shop around, don't settle on this deal.

Completed Kershaw for Longoria. I'm pretty happy with the result. I needed an "ace" and given that this is a keeper league, I'll take the young arm. Also having Beltre as my replacement makes me feel safe.
