12 Team H2H 5x5 redraft league. FA just opened for business and I have an open spot due to putting a guy on DL. When Morse is officially put on DL, I will have another open spot.
Which one of these FA scraps should I add now? Hafner, Pennington, JD Martinez, Scott, Carlos Ruiz, Mayberry, Parmelee, Jay
Here are my current Batters: Posey, Fielder, Uggla, Sandoval, A Cabrera, Bonifacio, Boesch, Presley, Votto, Reynolds, Morse, Daniel Murphy, Craig
I would go with Mayberry, because he is definitely starting the year in the Phils starting lineup, whether it be LF or 1B. He'll put up Morse-like numbers until Morse himself comes back.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

Do you need to pick up a bat? I prefer to load up on arms early in the season. Lots of setup men out there that may end up as closers. If I had to pick one off that list it would be Mayberry.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Funny you asked that as I just dropped my newly acquired Mayberry and picked up Aceves after I read that he, and not Melencon, was going to be the new Boston closer.
As for other setup arms on FA... there are a bunch of them including: Venters, Adams, Rodriguez, Crain, Rauch, Parnell, R. Ramirez, Lidge, Lindstrom, and Sipp. Since Holds is not a cat, I've been a bit careful in playing hunches on setup men until Aceves bit my butt... Start: 3SP, 2RP, 4P. Here are my current pitchers: Hudson, Garcia, Cueto, Chacin, Niese, Samadja, Danks, Porcello and Guerra, Jansen, Thornton, Aceves

Thanks! JD Mart is actually on waivers(just dropped from another team) and I have a claim in on him. Won't drop Craig since he is on DL and not costing me a roster spot. Murphy is the #2 hitter for the lowly Mets and is a nice multiple position eligible bench guy who hits for average. Can see weeks where I need his Average to help that cat while my other guys crush the power Cats.
I live in the Houston suburbs(so to speak) so I know about JD Mart and am hoping that others don't recognize his potential as the Astros cleanup hitter too.
